Prestigious award for the Educational Centre of the Faculty of Chemical Technology of the Poznań University of Technology

In Poznań at ul. Berdychowo 4, Budimex has built a modern educational and scientific building for the Poznań University of Technology. It houses the Educational Centre of the Faculty of Chemical Technology of the Poznań University of Technology The construction was awarded in 2014 Construction of the Year contest, in the category of Scientific, Educational and Healthcare Facilities.
The building was designed in the shape of the letter H. Two wings of the building have been combined with a glass, four-storey passage. From the northern side, the passage is attached to a modern technological hall with underground facilities, directly below the hall. Below the whole building there is a spacious garage hall.
The facade of the building deserves special attention. It is made of: glass facades, travertine lining, fixed and movable external blinds and mineral plasters.
In the building there are 70 laboratories, two auditoriums with an embedded model laboratory, 8 seminar rooms and 4 computer rooms. The area of the construction is 4.9 thousand sq m, whereas the useful space is 20.1 thousand sq m. The investment has been completed within 26 months.
