Progress of work delivery on the Warszawa Zachodnia railway station has passed 60%

Under a contract for the alteration of the Warszawa Zachodnia railway station, work is currently underway along a railway section 3.5 km long. The station’s roof for existing platforms 3, 4 and 5 and new platforms is being built now. A new railway station building is developing on the railway station’s side from the direction of the Wola district of Warsaw. Nearly 550 people and approx. 130 equipment units are in operation on the construction site.

Budimex signs a cooperation agreement with the Railway Engineering College in Warsaw

As part of actions addressed to students of secondary schools, Budimex signed a cooperation agreement with the Railway Engineering College (Technikum Kolejowe) in Warsaw on 2 March 2023. The cooperation is planned to include joint efforts in the field of science and engineering, and training projects. The largest Polish construction contractor will open up for graduates of the College and create new career opportunities.

Comment by President of the Management Board of Budimex SA Artur Popko to selected financial data of the Budimex Group for 2022

In 2022, the Budimex Group recorded an increase of sales revenues at the level of 8.9%. This resulted mainly from the greater scale of sales realised in the construction segment, in particular in the buildings and infrastructural construction sectors, as well as in Mostostal Kraków. On the side of services, revenues in 2022 increased by 4.9% compared to the previous year.

Budimex celebrates cooperation with the Zwolnieni z Teorii Foundation

The general contractor continues its cooperation with the Zwolnieni z Teorii Foundation - an organisation which, based on modern teaching methodology, helps young people develop pro-innovative competencies needed at work and in private life, such as: empathy and a sense of empowerment, creativity, teamwork, communication and problem-solving. The campaign is aimed at students of technical colleges and aims to develop their competencies.

Budimex's Hello ICE programme is back in a new version

The third edition of Hello ICE, Budimex’s proprietary programme that teaches children road safety rules through play, has been launched. The aim of the project is to increase the knowledge of primary school and preschool children about behaviour while walking across pedestrian crossings, among other things. The first day of educational activities took place in Ziębice with the participation of the local cultural centre and representatives of the police and voluntary fire brigade. The Hello ICE programme has received the honorary patronage of the Ministry of Sport and Tourism for 2023-2024.

Budimex Mobility has acquired 109 charging stations for electric cars in four Polish cities

Budimex Mobility – a company belonging to Poland's construction market leader – has signed an agreement to buy 109 electric car charging stations from Enea Operator. The takeover process has started in four cities: Szczecin, Poznań, Bydgoszcz, and Gorzów Wielkopolski. A number of changes lie ahead for the group, including branding modifications, integration with Elocity software and inspections by the Technical Inspection Authority.

Budimex supports local businesses – Fat Thursday on the construction route of the tram line to Wilanów

To celebrate Fat Thursday, Budimex is supporting local businesses operating around the Tramway to Wilanów construction route. Tomorrow – on 16 February – residents in three locations in Mokotów and Wilanów will be served doughnuts and coffee courtesy of the general contractor. They have been prepared by a local confectionery, Truskawka. It is a well-known and popular place on the confectionery map of Warsaw.

Tramway to Wilanów – new traffic organization from 11 February

The construction of the tramway to Wilanów is entering the next stage. Starting from 11 February, the construction site will begin to be extended – the works will cover the entire section from Puławska Street in Mokotów through Sobieskiego Street and Rzeczpospolitej Avenue to Branickiego Street in Wilanów. The investment will be completed according to the contractual deadline in the first quarter of 2024.

Budimex wins the prestigious WNP Award

The WNP Awards are presented during the EEC Trends conference, an event preceding the European Economic Congress in Katowice. The awards are given to those who change the Polish economy for the better through their actions. 400 new trees in Mokotów and Wilanów. The Budimex Green Stop campaign starts

The campaign is addressed to housing communities and districts located in the districts of Mokotów and Wilanów (in the vicinity of the construction of the tram route to Wilanów), which have land available for planting new trees.

BGK grants Budimex a PLN 45 million loan to construct a wind farm

Magnolia Energy, a Budimex special purpose vehicle set up to implement a wind farm construction project, comprising 2 turbines with a total capacity of up to 7 MW, has obtained financing from Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego under the project finance formula. This is the next stage in the development of the Budimex Group’s investments in renewable energy sources.

Technical back-up facilities for Koleje Małopolskie put into service

In January, the official opening of the Technical and Maintenance Facility was held in Kraków. It was completed by the consortium of Budimex (consortium leader) and KZN Rail within the investment called ‘Design and construction of technical facilities for the operation of the railway rolling stock at the Kraków Towarowy station’ for Koleje Małopolskie.

Budimex to expand Opera Nova in Bydgoszcz

On 12 January 2023, Budimex signed a contract for the expansion of Opera Nova in Bydgoszcz, involving another construction stage (“Fourth Circle”) and car park infrastructure (underground). The project will take 28 months for the Opera building and 18 months for the car park, with nearly 300 spots.

Construction of another section of the S6 can start

The Voivode of the Pomeranian Voivodeship has issued a decision on the permission for the implementation of a road investment for the longest section of the S6 expressway in the Pomeranian Voivodeship, between Leśnice and Bożepole Wielkie. Due to this investment, drivers will be able to move faster towards the Tri-City, and residents of Lębork will gain the southern ring road of the town. The Contractor of the investment is Budimex. 

Budimex completes the alteration of the key stage of the IHE building at the Warsaw University of Technology

The largest Polish general contractor has completed a key stage in the alteration and expansion of the Institute of Heat Engineering at the Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering of the Warsaw University of Technology. The renovation involved in the project covered three building wings: B, C, and D, with the courtyard and a fire access road. Budimex submitted the project to the Budowa Roku 2022 awards (Construction Project of the Year). The awards are held each year by PZITB (Polish Society of Construction Designers and Engineers), joined by the Polish Ministry of Construction and the Chief Office of Construction Supervision.

Tram to Wilanów – Budimex has completed the first part of compensation planting

Compensatory plantings of new trees have been completed during the construction of the tramway to Wilanów – Budimex has planted a total of 130 trees in Mokotów and Wilanów since the beginning of November. A total of 1,000 trees will be planted as part of this investment. All others will be completed by the project’s completion date, i.e. by 2024.

Twenty-four kilometres of the new S61 Suwałki – Budzisko route

Budimex has completed the construction and commissioned a 24-kilometre section of the S61 express route from Suwałki to the state border with Lithuania – the Via Baltica. In recent years, the Polish general contractor has completed a total of 94 kilometres of this route out of the 130 kilometres in operation.
