Budimex has completed work on the A1 Motorway ahead of schedule

Two months before the deadline specified in the contract, Budimex completed work on the 15.2 km A1 Motorway section and the Kutno Wschód node – the intersection between A1 Motorway and National Road No 92.
It is designed to improve the traffic flow on the road to Gdańsk. The drivers taking National Road No 92 who start they journey both from Łowicz, Warsaw and Poznań are not longer forced to pass through the city of Kutno in order to enter the A1 Motorway to Gdańsk. Until now, they could reach the Kutno Północ node located several kilometers north of the city by taking National Road No 60a and enter the motorway at that point.

The agreement with the Łódź branch of the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways (Generalna Dyrekcja Dróg Krajowych i Autostrad, GDDKiA) to complete work on the 15.2 km section of A1 Motorway was entered into between Poldim and Bogl a Krysl on 22 April 2014. The net value of the contract is PLN 49.7 million.
Scope of works:

  • demolition of sections of roads, streets and public utilities,
  • construction of the Kutno Wschód node, completing the construction of the administration and amenity building,
  • construction of Krzyżanów Zachodni and Krzyżanów Wschodni rest areas,
  • completing the reconstruction of existing and the construction of new municipal, local and access roads,
  • completing the construction and reconstruction of pavements, exit roads, bus bays, parking lots, internal roads,
  • construction of circulation roads and parking spaces at Rest Areas (Miejsca Obsługi Pasażerów, MOP),
  • completing the construction and reconstruction of technical infrastructure,
  • completing the construction of engineering structures and traffic safety elements, repair works and planting of vegetation.
