Signing an agreement for the construction of the S6 carriageway, section Leśnice – Bożepole Wielkie

On 29 July 2021, an agreement was officially signed in connection with the offer of Budimex S.A. selected by the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways in Gdańsk as the most favourable one in the public procurement procedure for the construction of the S6 dual carriageway between Słupsk and Bożepole Wielkie. Task 5: in. Leśnice (without a junction) - in. Bożepole Wielkie (without a junction).

The 22-km section between Leśnice and Bożepole Wielkie will be a dual carriageway with two lanes in each direction and an emergency stop lane. It will also constitute the Lębork bypass. The route will include the construction of the Lębork Południe, Lębork Wschód and Łęczyce junctions and the expansion of the Bożepole Wielkie junction. Thanks to the construction of the dual carriageway, time spent driving along this section of S6 will decrease by half, i.e. from the current 30 minutes to about 15 minutes. The value of the offer is PLN 584,284,507.99 net, the completion date is 38 months from the date of signing the agreement.

'This is the seventh road task currently carried out by us in Pomerania. We plan, despite the demanding geological conditions for this location, to execute the contract on time. This is how we complete the vast majority of our road contracts' – said Artur Popko, President of Budimex SA, during the signing of the agreement. 'We have already started design works in order to apply for the necessary permits and arrangements aimed at obtaining the decision on permission for the implementation of a road project as soon as possible' – adds Artur Popko.

Budimex is also responsible for the construction of two other sections of the dual carriageway in Pomerania. As part of the contract for the construction of the Luzino – Szemud section, Budimex is building a section of the S6 dual carriageway with a length of over 10 km. Additionally, 10 km of access roads, local streets and exits to service the area adjacent to Trasa Kaszubska (i.e. Kashubian Route) will be built.

In April of this year, Budimex also signed an agreement for the construction of a 16 km section of the Tricity Metropolitan Bypass. By 2024, Budimex will complete a dual carriageway with two lanes of traffic in each direction with reservation for a third lane, the 'Miszewo' and 'Chwaszczyno' junctions, the Miszewo road section and 25 engineering structures.
