Paving work on A1 motorway between Tuszyn and Piotrków Trybunalski

Following the scheduled winter stoppage, the consortium of Budimex and Strabag returned to continue the paving work on the A1 motorway, Tuszyn-Piotrków Trybunalski section. The current stage sees the installation of a lean C8/10 concrete base course.

At the beginning of April, the consortium plans to lay the first sections of the concrete surface. The current work involves a three-lane section of this road connecting northern and southern Poland. The construction work involves a 16-kilometre section of the A1 motorway. The current progress of work on the project is 30%. Work suitable for the winter period was completed between 15 December 2019 and 15 March 2020.

The construction work began in April 2019, and is scheduled to be completed in Q3 2021.

The Budimex and Strabag consortium is also building another section of the A1 motorway, Kamieńsk-Radomsko. Here the progress is currently 25%, with construction work scheduled to end 2 months after the completion of the Tuszyn-Piotrków Trybunalski section. The entire A1 motorway project has been divided into 5 sections, with a total length of 81 km. The Budimex and Strabag consortium has been awarded a contract to construct a 32 km section, nearly 40% of the whole project.
