 Current Vice-President Artur Popko To Lead the Budimex Group

The Vice-President of Budimex, Artur Popko, was appointed by the Supervisory Board the President of the Management Board and the CEO of Budimex SA. He will take over the function on 20 May 2021.

 

‘The change resulting from my resignation proceeded very smoothly. Artur Popko knows the company very well, as he has expertise, competencies and experience built throughout the years of his work, both for Budimex and in the industry itself. We have been working together for at least 11 years now. During that time, together with the team he was in charge of, he built the leading position in the industry of infrastructural and railway construction. He has also recently taken over the responsibility for general and power construction and he has joined the Supervisory Board of FBSerwis and Mostostal Kraków. The appointment of Artur Popko is a part of the company’s holistic succession programme covering all managerial positions’ – Dariusz Blocher, the current President of the Management Board and CEO of Budimex SA.

 

Budimex is currently the leader in the road industry and it remains one of the two biggest contractors in railway modernisation in Poland.

Artur Popko has been tied to the Budimex Group (Budimex Dromex) since 2004. He started as a Construction Manager, later becoming a Contract Director. In 2009 he was promoted to Regional Director and then to Branch Director. In 2011 he was put in charge of the infrastructural construction area of Budimex SA. In 2019 he was appointed the Vice-President, and took over the responsibility for the whole operational area of Budimex SA. He graduated from the Białystok University of Technology, the Faculty of Construction & Engineering, majoring in Transportation Construction.
