Christmas gift from Budimex to hospital in Rzeszów

The last “Zone” in 2016 was developed for the Paediatric Neurology Ward of Queen Jadwiga Provincial Clinical Hospital No 2. It is the first project of such type in Rzeszów.

A kitchenette was installed for parents. They can now prepare fast meals and beverages. The dayroom and dining room area was redecorated and furnished with new tables and chairs. In addition, as part of the programme, the interiors of the school area were refurbished to create a more friendly and home-like learning environment for children.
We would like places like that to be created in every Polish hospital but it is not possible everywhere, said Krzysztof Kozioł, Director of the Communications Office. Some hospitals are brand new while others need renovation. Some wards are also very limited in space and it is difficult to find spare room for the zone. That is why each site is different and unique. I am glad that our employees get involved in creating these zones by devoting their personal time and energy. Their enthusiasm is one of the factors that help to create these beautiful and much needed places, Krzysztof Kozioł added.
The “Parent Zone. Budimex for Children” programme has been carried out by Budimex for four years now. The aim of the programme is to prepare rooms within paediatric wards where parents can spend time with their sick children. So far, 16 “Parent Zones” have been created – in Białystok, Lublin, Katowice, Łódź, Poznań, Wrocław, Gdańsk, Szczecin, Krakow, Bydgoszcz, Toruń, Sanok, Bełchatów, Olsztyn, Jędrzejów, Bogatynia and Oleśnica. Budimex is planning to develop six more zones in 2017.
