Budimex will complete the construction of the Hrubieszów bypass
On 6 May 2014, Budimex and the Lublin Branch of the General Directorate of National Roads and Motorways signed an agreement on continuation of construction of the Hrubieszów bypass as a part of the national road No 74 Janów Lubelski –national border. The value of the agreement is PLN 33.2 million net.
The scope of works includes:
- construction of a 9.3-kilometre section of a single-carriageway GP class road;
- trenches — 19,300 m3,
- embankments — 31,500 m3,
- frost-proof layer (32 cm) — 11,500 m3,
- asphalt concrete substructure (10 cm) — 13,000 tonnes,
- asphalt concrete bond coat (9 cm) — 20,000 tonnes,
- SMA wearing course (4 cm) — 10,000 tonnes,
- construction of 21 D class service roads with total length of 7.34 km;
- finishing works on 29 engineering structures along the bypass (4 bridges, 7 viaducts, 18 animal passageways and 89 culverts).
The contractor’s obligations also include completion of as-built documentation and obtaining a use permit. Budimex has 5 months to complete the investment, starting from the date of agreement signature.
