Budimex – Construction Company of the Year 2022
The “Builder” magazine announced a list of the best enterprises that were recognised during the 20th edition of the Builder Awards. Budimex was one of the awarded companies and was named Construction Company of the Year 2022 in the General Contractor category. Moreover, the President of the Management Board, Artur Popko, was awarded in the category of Construction Personality of 2022.
Each year, “Builder” awards construction companies for dynamic growth, well-established market position and achievements that stand out from the industry and competition. The magazine also recognises directors. The Personality of the Year award is given for efficient management, successfully extending the potential and competitive advantage of a company, as well as resourcefulness, business intuition and supporting initiatives important for the growth of the industry.
“On behalf of all the employees, I’d like to thank you for awarding Budimex with the title of Construction Company of the Year. I’m glad that our work has been recognised and appreciated in such a way. I’d also like to thank all of our associates, partners and contractors who play a substantial role in our success. Last year, despite the challenging market conditions, we managed to improve our financial results. Our order portfolio grew as well. As a result, we can grow and engage in new endeavours. We focus on business diversification while supporting energy transition at the same time. We’re looking for innovations and technologies which can allow us to raise environmental neutrality and the effectiveness of our construction processes. Moreover, we invest in renewable energy sources like: wind farms, photovoltaic installations and green transport. Additionally, we consistently build our position in neighbouring countries. We have begun the construction of the D1 Bratysława-Triblavina motorway in Slovakia, which is worth 111 million euros. Our German division, Budimex Bau, obtained construction contracts worth over 70 million zloty in 2022,” says President of Budimex SA, Artur Popko.
This is another award received by Budimex this year. The company has been recognised on the WNP Awards gala. These awards are given by the editors of the WNP.PL website and the “Nowy Przemysł” economic magazine.
Budimex is one of the biggest groups in the construction industry in Poland. As a general contractor, it offers services in the following sectors: road, railway, airport infrastructure, residential buildings, energy, industrial and eco-friendly construction. Moreover, it has a comprehensive offer regarding facility maintenance and waste management through its subsidiaries. Budimex also gradually develops its activities in foreign markets – in Germany, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
The Builder Awards have been given for twenty years by the editors and Academic Council of the “Builder” monthly. The awards honour people and companies who play an important role in Polish construction, architecture and education.
