Budimex adopts the Diversity Charter

On 8 November, Budimex found itself among the companies that have signed the Diversity Charter. It is an initiative coordinated by the Responsible Business Forum. In this way, the company wants to promote the policy of equal treatment and diversity management adopted in September this year and spread it among the Employees.

 

Principles of equal treatment of employees have always played an important role in the personnel policy of Budimex. To emphasize this, in September, the company adopted a Diversity Policy. And now it has joined the 150 signatories of the Diversity Charter in Poland. By supporting this international initiative, Budimex wants to put even greater emphasis on promoting principles of equal treatment of all its employees within the company, as well as on preventing any discrimination in the workplace based on gender, age, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or religion. The company believes that the promotion of diversity entails tangible benefits and affects the development and innovation of the organisation, giving the employees a chance to shared learning and mutual sharing of knowledge.

 

The Diversity Charter is an international initiative supported by the European Commission and carried out in such EU countries as Austria, Belgium, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Spain, Netherlands, Ireland, Luxembourg, Germany, Poland, Portugal, Sweden, Italy. The Charter constitutes a commitment, signed by organisations that decide to prohibit discrimination in the workplace and to contribute to the creation and promotion of diversity. The Charter expresses company’s readiness to engage all employees and business and social partners in such activities. Organisations choosing to implement this tool work for cohesion and social equality.
