Lidl Logistics Centre takes the CIJ Award

Lidl Logistics Centre in Kałuszyn, constructed by Budimex in 2018, received the prestigious CIJ Award in the Leading Green Warehouse Development category. The award is the decision of a 20-person jury from the retail, construction, hotel and logistics sectors. Lidl’s centre was recognised as Poland’s best logistics facility in terms of environmental protection and sustainable development.

 

For 20 years, this award has been granted by the Commercial & Investment Journal Magazine, an opinion-forming medium concerning new projects, real property, agreements and investment actions, as well as comments and detailed market analyses, statistics and information on recent trends in Northern, Central and Eastern Europe, as well as in the international property development sector.

 

The centre created for Lidl is yet another Budimex project to be awarded. Earlier this year, other Budimex building constructions also received awardsthe Education and Recreation Centre in Marki and the Nuctech plant in Kobyłka.

Lidl Logistics Centre in Kałuszyn is both Poland’s largest and the most innovative centre in Europe owned by Lidl. The facility covers an area of approx. 28,000 m2 and has two storeys plus a single-storey part (approx. 30,000 m2) intended for high storage. The total usable floor area of the facility is approx. 58,000 m2. The administrative and social space is located on the upper floor in the north-eastern part of the building. The building volume is 726,000 m3, close to that of the Palace of Culture and Science!
