Budimex completed the construction of S7 in świętokrzyskie province

The grand opening of the road was made by Andrzej Adamczyk, Minister of Infrastructure and Construction. Budimex was represented by its President, Dariusz Blocher.

This contract was awarded by the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways to the consortium of Budimex and Ferrovial Agroman in 2014. It comprised construction of two-lane road and four junctions: in Jędrzejów, Łączyn, Mierzawa and Wodzisław. The scope of works included also construction of over 30 engineering facilities: bridges, road-bridges, footbridges and animal passages. Contractor had to also connect the new S7 section with local roads. The value of investment is PLN 428 million.

During the road opening ceremony, minister Adamczyk emphasized - This is an important day not only for świętokrzyskie province, but mostly for the entire road transport in Poland. We manage to commission another section of S7 express road, one of the two roads in Poland with the highest traffic rates, one of the two roads with the highest number of accidents, especially the deadly ones - he added.

The commissioned new S7 section makes it possible not only to shorten the travel time between Warsaw and Cracow, but also increase the traffic safety.
